Massive Israeli anti-terror operation in Jenin ongoing for over 30 hours, hundreds arrested
The counter-terror operation by Israeli security forces that started early Tuesday morning in the West Bank town of Jenin is still ongoing, the IDF reported on Wednesday evening, adding that hundreds of suspects have been detained so far.
Forces of the IDF, Shin Bet and Border Police have searched over 400 buildings and destroyed or confiscated around 30 weapons, as well as explosives and ammunition.
In addition, six laboratories for producing explosives, several underground shafts, and four observation posts were located in Jenin and the nearby refugee camp and destroyed.
Four IDF soldiers were lightly injured by shrapnel as a result of controlled explosions and friendly fire. They received medical treatment in the field and were evacuated to continue treatment in a hospital.
According to Palestinian reports, at least seven Palestinians were killed, 4 of whom were terrorists struck by an IDF drone on Tuesday.
In other anti-terror raids across Judea and Samaria, internationally known as the West Bank, Israeli security forces arrested 17 wanted terror operatives overnight, 7 of whom are associated with the terrorist organization Hamas.
