Huckabee, Rosenberg bring Evangelical ‘Solidarity Mission’ to Jerusalem to say, ‘Israel, you’re not alone — God loves you and so do we’

JERUSALEM, ISRAEL — A group of seven influential Evangelical Christian leaders arrived in Jerusalem on Tuesday afternoon on a three-day “Solidarity Mission” to stand with Israel and the Jewish people against “the forces of radical Islamist, terror and genocide.” 

The Delegation — initiated, organized, and co-hosted by Joel C. Rosenberg and former Governor Mike Huckabee — is scheduled to:

• tour Israeli communities along the Gaza border devastated by the Hamas attacks of October 7th 

• meet with Israeli hostage families

• meet with and be briefed by local Israeli Christian and Messianic leaders

• be briefed by Israeli civilian and military officials

• pray for victory over Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Iranian regime 

• pray for the immediate release of all the hostages

• pray for the protection of all Palestinian Christians in Gaza

• pray for physical, emotional, and spiritual healing for all Israelis and Palestinians traumatized by this war  

• pray for the peace of Jerusalem and the entire region, according to Psalm 122

ALL ISRAEL NEWS will be reporting on the trip every step of the way.

The following are statements issued by each member of the Delegation upon arriving in Jerusalem. 

Joel C. Rosenberg, editor-in-chief of ALL ISRAEL NEWS and ALL ARAB NEWS: “I’m deeply grateful to my colleagues for being willing to make time — especially during this busy Christmas season — to set everything else aside and fly into a war zone to listen, to learn, to pray, and to grieve with those who are grieving. In the Bible, the Lord spoke through the Hebrew prophet Jeremiah to say to Israel, ‘I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore, I have continued to extend faithful love to you.’ (Jeremiah 31:3) And this is our message. In Israel’s darkest hour, we want every Israeli to know that Evangelical Christians love you because God loves you. We stand shoulder to shoulder with you against the wicked Iranian regime and their barbaric terror proxy forces. You are not alone. Evangelicals are friends you can count on. We will never leave you or forsake you. Jesus also commanded us to love Israel’s neighbors. So, we are also committed to loving and praying for the Palestinian people and supporting the liberation of the suffering people of Gaza from Hamas’ reign of terror.”

Mrs. Lynn Rosenberg: “Since October 7th, Christians around the world have read about, wept over, and prayed over the awful accounts of the attacks by Hamas and the ongoing war in Israel. It is a rare and deep privilege to visit the people and places affected by such trauma in person, offering a listening ear and a hug and the simple words, ‘You are not alone.’ My heart especially grieves for the mothers, with their children looking to them for answers in the absence of stability and safety. Psalm 131:3-4 says, ‘But I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child is my soul within me. O Israel, hope in the Lord from this time forth and forevermore.’ This is my prayer for Israel — for comfort and true peace.”

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee: “I’ve been traveling to Israel for over 50 years — with my first trip being in July of 1973 — and I’ve led thousands of Americans on trips here since 1981. I’ve been to Israel several times a year most years and have come here during the Intifada and the 2014 Gaza war to show my solidarity and support. But this trip is perhaps my most important. What happened on October 7th was revolting. And I’m infuriated by how so much of the world and the media are turning against Israel. I came here to say loud and clear that Evangelicals stand with Israel. We believe in the Bible and we are grateful that God made it crystal clear that He loves Israel and the Jewish people and has chosen to bless them. That’s why Evangelicals are praying without ceasing for Israel’s hostages to come home quickly and victory over Israel’s enemies, and why so many Christians are donating millions of dollars to provide urgently needed humanitarian relief for those suffering in this tragic war.” 

Former Ambassador Sam Brownback: “We must stand with the people of Israel against the terrorist-sponsoring regime in Iran and their Hamas proxy. This bloodshed and carnage would not have happened without the ruling Mullahs in Tehran supporting and arming Hamas. I grieve over all the bloodshed, death and destruction of the Israelis and the Palestinians. The terrorists must be removed or it will all happen again.”

Former Ambassador Ken Blackwell: “For 45 years, I've been engaged in the promotion and protection of the sovereignty of the nation of Israel and her people. As Christian leaders, we are deeply moved and grieved by the recent terror attacks from Gaza. We want Israelis to know that we stand with them, love them, and support them, now and always. Israel is our friend, and friends stick together, through thick and thin. We have traveled to this land more than 40 times over the past four decades, and we will be back in the future. We have come to stand in solidarity with the people of Israel, in response to the command of God through the prophet Isaiah for us to ‘comfort My people’ (Isaiah 40:1). We are praying for a speedy end to this war, the comfort of Israeli families suffering the loss of family members. And we pray for the Palestinian people who are sadly caught between the demonic Hamas terrorists who want to use them, and the Israelis who want to liberate them. May God supply great grace to all involved.”
