Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant attended a meeting of the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee on Tuesday and said, "We are in a multi-arena war, we are under attack from seven different fronts - Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Judea and Samaria, Iraq, Yemen and Iran. We have already responded and acted in six of them."

On the KAN Reshet Bet radio program 'Benjamin and Guetta,' it was reported that in the closed portion of the discussion, Gallant explained that the only arena in which we have not hit back so far is Yemen. According to the defense minister, this is because any action at these distances must be seriously considered.

Gallant added in the discussion: "I am saying here in the most explicit way – anyone who acts against us is a potential target, no one is immune. The State of Israel will know what to do; the security system is being prepared; the reality in which we are attacked and we are restrained is correct, according to our judgment. Everyone sees and understands the results in Gaza, in particular Hamas, Iran and Hezbollah."

"If we don't meet our goals in the war, we will be in a situation where the problem will not be 'who lives around Gaza or who lives in the north.' The problem will be that people will not want to live in a place where we do not know how to protect them," Gallant explained in the discussion.

"We need determination, endurance and strength and national adherence to goals. This is a battle in which the one who survives is the one who is stronger on a national level, in its values, in its unity. This is a battle of national determination and I tell you that we will defeat Hamas."

Committee Chairman Knesset Member Yuli Edelstein said in the discussion: "As the fighting progresses, we are converging on the transition between the second phase of the fighting and the third phase. As the defense minister and I said at the very beginning: It will be a long campaign and we must be prepared for it, in all aspects. Now, we are facing a situation in which the reservists may lose economic rights as a result of the government's unpreparedness regarding the law about postponing deadlines and other benefits. This law has significant constitutional and economic consequences."

"I spoke with the defense minister on the issue this morning and we are working together to promote a solution as soon as possible. We both agree on the importance and necessity of creating the right system for the reservists and the families of the evacuees. I hope in the coming days, we will bring an adequate and correct solution," Edelstein added.
