Exclusive new poll: Huge number of Americans fear ‘nuclear 9/11’ attacks from Middle East terrorists coming through Mexico

JERUSALEM, ISRAEL – With the Biden White House refusing to do everything necessary to stop the flood of 5.7 million people illegally entering the United States through Mexico, and an exclusive new ALL ISRAEL NEWS poll showing just how much Americans fear Middle Eastern terrorists will use the border crisis to unleash catastrophic attacks inside the homeland, Republican presidential candidates are making their own dramatic moves to safeguard the border.

Former President Donald Trump, for example, announced on Tuesday that “if elected president again in 2024, he would seek to end automatic citizenship for children born in the United States to immigrants in the country illegally, a plan that contradicts how a 19th century amendment to the U.S. Constitution long has been interpreted,” Reuters reported.

Florida Governor – and newly declared presidential candidate – Ron DeSantis, meanwhile, announced that he is sending National Guard troops from the Sunshine State to Texas to help protect the border.

DeSantis is “deploying more than 1,100 assets and resources available to assist, including 101 highway patrol personnel, 200 department of law enforcement officers, 800 National Guard soldiers, emergency management personnel, 17 unmanned drones and 10 vessels, including airboats,” Fox News reported.

“The impacts of Biden’s Border Crisis are felt by communities across the nation, and the federal government’s abdication of duty undermines the sovereignty of our country and the rule of law,” DeSantis declared.

The move drew immediate gratitude from Texas officials.

“Florida National Guard service members arrived in Texas over the weekend,” Texas Governor Greg Abbott tweeted. “Thank you to Gov. Ron DeSantis for deploying troops to support our border response.”

“We welcome the support from the state of Florida as they will provide additional law enforcement resources to help combat criminal activity & interdict deadly narcotics," said Texas Department of Public Safety spokesperson Chris Olivarez.’

NEW POLL FINDS AMERICANS DEEPLY WORRIED ABOUT NEW TERROR ATTACKS

The threat of terrorists, drug runners and human traffickers exploiting the border crisis is, of course, the very fictional scenario that I lay out in my new political thriller, THE LIBYAN DIVERSION, which just debuted on Publishers Weekly hardcover fiction best-seller list, hitting the charts at #18.

I’m very grateful that people are reading and responding to the novel, but let’s just pray that THE LIBYAN DIVERSION remains what it’s supposed to be – a fun and exciting summer read – not a prophecy of what’s coming down the pike.

Because it turns out Americans are worried that this scenario may not prove to be fiction, after all.

Earlier this month, ALL ISRAEL NEWS commissioned one of the most respected polling firms in the U.S. – McLaughlin & Associates, founded by John McLaughlin, who’s done polling for many U.S. and Israeli political leaders, including President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu – to go into the field to ask several questions about the worsening border crisis.

The first question was this:

With millions of people illegally entering the U.S. since President Biden took office, are you worried that Middle Eastern terrorists will attempt to enter the U.S. through Mexico to launch more 9/11-style terror attacks, or even to attempt a “nuclear 9/11” with nuclear “dirty” bombs?

The results were sobering, to say the least.

Fully 66% of Americans say they are “worried” or “very worried” by such a scenario.

This includes 46% of Americans who fear terrorists will come into the U.S. through Mexico to pull off 9/11-style attacks.

It also includes another 20% of Americans who fear that terrorists coming through Mexico will really want to attempt a “nuclear 9/11” with nuclear “dirty” bombs.

The survey also found that Evangelical Christians are even more concerned than their fellow Americans.

It turns out that 79.1% of Evangelicals fear Middle Eastern terrorists coming through Mexico want to pull off major attacks inside the homeland.

This includes 60.4% of Evangelicals who are worried about 9/11-style attacks, and another 18.7% who are worried about a “nuclear 9/11.”

Again, I want to be clear – the plot of THE LIBYAN DIVERSION may feel “ripped from tomorrow’s headlines,” but I pray it never really becomes reality, and I ask you to join me in this prayer.

But is there reason to be worried that the White House and so much of Washington is so distracted – diverted – by other issues that they could be blindsided by attacks that could, and should, be preventable.

ALL ISRAEL NEWS will release more details from the poll tomorrow.
